Safety on Cloudly

Cloudly is an anonymous space for venting and that anonymity is genuinely valuable but it also means you’re talking to people you don’t know. This page covers how to use Cloudly safely, what we do to keep the space reasonable and where to go if something goes wrong.

Protect your own anonymity

Cloudly doesn’t ask for your name, email, or any personal information. Keep it that way on your end too.

Don’t share:

You’re talking to real people

Cloudly is not an AI chatbot. The people in the chat are real, anonymous strangers. Most people are here for the same reason you are: to vent, to be heard, to talk. But some people can also be unkind, inappropriate, or occasionally threatening.

If someone says something that makes you uncomfortable, you don’t owe them a response. You can ignore it, leave the chat, or come back later.

What isn’t allowed

Cloudly exists for venting and conversation. Some things are not acceptable here:

If someone asks for your personal information

Anyone who pushes for personal details (your name, where you live, how to contact you outside Cloudly) is a red flag. Legitimate venting doesn’t require any of that. Don’t share your personal info and don’t feel obligated to explain why you won’t.

If you’re under 18

Cloudly is intended for people who are old enough to use it responsibly. If you’re a teenager using this space:
